    Division Order Analyst

    Kirkpatrick Oil Company is seeking a Division Order Analyst to add to its team.  The Division Order Analyst is responsible for the proper establishment and maintenance of division order records and ensures the accuracy of the payment of oil and gas royalties.

    Responsibilities/Essential Functions

    • Perform a series of activities from well completion to authorization and payment of funds to ensure timely processing
      • Request and collect title curative
      • Prepare division orders for all owners legally entitled to the proceeds of oil and gas production
      • Authorize payments and release funds to record title owners
    • Interest Owner Management
      • Process all requests for changes in Revenue/JIB Owner contact information
      • Review title, request or investigate records for proper documentation and process all changes of interest ownership timely
      • Communicate with interest owners
    • Suspense Funds/Unclaimed Property Report Management
    • Records Management
    • Review and verify outside-operated oil and gas division orders

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
    • Experience with Enertia is a plus
    • Must have excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communications skills
    • Must have strong math skills and ability to easily work with numbers
    • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Must be able to read and interpret legal documents
    • Strong comprehension, analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary
    • Must be proactive, focused, and able to work independently
    • Division order, legal and/or title experience preferred
    • Knowledge of real property and estate law is a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.  In lieu of degree, 3-5 years of experience in division order analyst role.




    Kirkpatrick Oil Company is seeking a Landman to add to its team. 
    The Landman develops and maintains prospects, acquires drilling rights, prepares units for drilling, ensures protection of interests in outside-operated units, and facilitates acquisitions and divestitures of property.

    Responsibilities/Essential Functions

    • Title Work
      • Review title and determine mineral and leasehold ownership status in HBP and Non-Producing Units.
      • Monitor lease expirations and acquire renewals or extensions, as needed.
      • Request or provide title curative for operated and non-operated properties
      • Assist when needed on Division Order work 
    • Land Functions
      • Maintain files and Enertia database
      • Maintain oil and gas lease information for leasehold and minerals owned by Kirkpatrick
      • Assists in preparing operated wells for drilling by preparing OCC respondent lists, negotiation and preparation of agreements, assignments of oil and gas leases, etc.
      • Monitors and performs tasks to ensure proper set up of properties
    •  General
      • Solid data entry background
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Strong comprehension, analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
      • Knowledge in Enertia Software Applications preferred
      • Strong ability to prioritize and manage own time
      • Must be proactive, focused, and able to work independently

     Education/Experience Requirements

    • 5 years of experience as a Landman 
    • Ability to interpret title documents and other agreements required for oil and gas exploration and production.
    • Knowledge of real property law and title evaluation
    • Experience with negotiating and drafting documents
    • Familiar with state and federal rules and regulations
    • High school diploma or GED required.  Associates degree or higher preferred. 
    • Law degree preferred.
